Pier 1 Imports, Inc. today reported a net loss of $10,185,000, or $0.12 per share, for the second quarter ended August 27, 2005. Total sales declined 3.0% for the second fiscal quarter to $438,592,000, from $452,271,000 in the year-ago quarter, and comparable store sales declined 7.7%.
